Pros: 5mp autofocus camera, 512MB RAM, 624MHz CPU, Good battery life, Hot-swappable micro SD slot (up to 16gb), compact body and solid built, nice to hold, good QWERTY keyboard. BBM, Push Email, BIS. good for your image. =D

Cons: Blackberry Internet Service(BIS) is required to enjoy phone's features. Overpriced for its meager specs. Small screen at 2.44"

  

My say: Blackberry fans will love it, non-Blackberry fans will be curious why Blackberry even have fans. Sorry to say, I am not a Blackberry fan because i think for its meager specs, it is wayyy too overpriced. and u also cant use this phone to the fullest UNLESS u subscribe to BIS/BBM.

After a few days of using this phone, u automatically feel like an important person. constantly removing the phone from the pouch to check on ur emails and other notifications. Or is it just me..? haha

This phone is not for everyone. However, if you are a serious e-mail junkie and need push email and use BBM frequently, then this phone is ThePhoneForYou!

at last, for all you Blackberry users out there, u can rejoice with the official arrival of 2 brand new Blackberry phones. both phones are expected to reach our shores this THURSDAY 25th August 2011!

Blackberry Bold Touch 9900

Both phones come preloaded with the brand spanking new Blackberry OS7!
bear in mind, ALL previous models are unable to support this brand new OS7, so if you just bought a BB Bold 3 9780 or Torch 9800, u are kinda stuck forever on BB OS6... sorry...

However, neither of these phones come cheap(as BB phones are forever overpriced in my opinion..) 

and be sure to check that the BB u are intending to buy is ORIGINAL and distributed by BRIGHSTAR or any other telco (maxis, celcom, digi, umobile)

Brighstar warranty for blackberry is 18 months.

BB Bold 3 is still RM1350-1450


BB Torch 9800 is RM1650...i told u BBs are overpriced. =P

Today I'll be talking about Blackberrys, why u should or should not get it and why it is so damn popular!

Lets be honest here, when u look at someone who's holding a Blackberry, it automatically generates a thought in ur head that's saying something like this "pergh, Blackberry...kaya gile" ataupon "pergh, Blackberry...cool gile"...

OK fine, mungkin aku sorg je. tp sebenarnye Blackberry ni, like iPhone, is kinda overrated. serious dowh.
Mari kita belajar kenapa!

Advantage of Blackberry, or BB.

• Email manager terbaik
• BBM
• BIS
• Integrated Social Networking
• QWERTY keyboard yg enak ditekan
• Alot of accessories available (casings, pouches etc)

Disadvantage

• Mahal
• Spec x seberapa/x padan dgn harga
• gile sedeyh camera
• Limited apps available

Walaupon BB sgt mahal dan spec die x padan dgn harga nya, tp ia masih sgt popular dan terhangat di pasaran because of 3 reasons -

Status - just like the iPhone, its the "in" gadget. make, "cool"
Email - many businesspersons use Blackberrys to manage their many email accounts and get push emails(emails on the go. receive emails to ur phone just like how u receive text messages)
BBM - Blackberry phones work on a different frequency then other phones, thats why it has BBM. if u are a BB user and u subscribe to BBM, u get unlimited IM (instant messaging) with other BB users no matter where u are for a period of time(depending on ur subscription). very useful for people overseas who want to regularly communicate with people back home(or anyone else all over the world)

When or Why u shud get a BB

1. if u are staying overseas and want to regularly communicate with people back home(or anyone else all over the world)
2. if u use ur email alot and need push email
3. if u are a heavy texter

When or Why u shud NOT get a BB (recommendations only)

1. if u do NOT require push emails or BBM, do not get urself a Blackberry. Go for other phone models that offer better specs at a similar price to a BB
2. if u're a prepaid user, to subscribe to BBM n BIS, it'll cost u RM2 or something a day.. imagine if u activate BBM everyday?unless if u text more than RM2 a day, then by all means, get urself a BB.
3. if u want a phone for gaming, BB is NOT for u.
4. if u want a phone that has alot of apps(games, productivity), get an Android phone instead
5. if u want a phone with a good camera. BB phones have generally poor camera performance

CAUTION! If u do wish to buy a brand new BB, pls be aware that there are alot of shops out there that are selling Recon sets or Refurbished sets as Band New and Original Sets. As I've mentioned in my previous post "Say No To Jalan Raja Laut", these refurbished sets may not be fully functional and may become faulty as soon as u part ways with ur cash...
So, be a smart buyer and research first before buying. Or else u could just buy from me~

If u're looking for a brand new Blackberry,
do NOT - and i repeat, DO NOT go to Jalan Raja Laut, Kuala Lumpur to search for ur brand new BB
though the price that they're offering may be attractive, but chances are, those so-called "new" sets that they're selling are recon or refurbished Blackberrys
and one problem after another will arise..
seriously.
Many buyers have complained about buying recon sets that those sellers claim to be legitimate and authentic Blackberrys


Better safe then sorry people, and buy from trusted sellers.
you know, like ME. =P
