Pros: 1GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 5mp rear camera with flash, front-facing camera for taking pictures and face time, quality apps on the Appstore, tons of 3rd party accessories available out there, 16GB internal memory(around 11gb available for user), good quality camera, high pixel density screen(640x960), super smooth interface
Cons: have to use Micro SIM Card, no Bluetooth out of the box(can be used after u Jailbreak it, but i dunno how..), 3.5" screen considered small in today's market, Videocalling(Face-time) over Wifi only and to other iPhones or iPads only(i think, not to sure), no MicroSD card slot, can only sync via iTunes, no WiFi hotspot
My say: Either u love it or u hate it, the iPhone 4 is here to stay. well, until the iPhone 4S/5 comes out later this year..but yeah, u're either a fan or u hate it really2 bad...
iOS is simple, every function of the phone is an App by itself, so whatever u want to do, u just have to look for the right app. no widgets, no homescreens, just rows upon rows of apps...
to me, the are 3 main reasons one should go for an iPhone instead of phones on other platforms:
1. Accessories. There are TONSSSS of 3rd party apps out there for the iPhone. Casings, screen protectors, earphones, chargers and more. there's thousands of it in thousands of designs.
2. Applications. Without a doubt, the Apple Appstore has a better range of apps with cool games and graphics. but bear in mind, most apps on the appstore are paid apps(at least 0.99USD). Android Market has more free apps, but the Apple Appstore has more apps(paid+free) total. So if u've jailbroken ur phone, then it would be better
3. Super smooth interface. with ZERO lags and instant response to our touch, the iPhone's software is considered very stable and without faults. very fast and responsive
If u like a stable and easy to operate device, then the iPhone4 is ThePhoneForYou!
But if u choose Raw power and awesome specs, then there are other options, of course. =D
