Android OS Virus

Google's Android OS (Operating System) is an open-source Linux based software
Open Source here means that anyone can contribute to developing a software or an app to be used on ur Android Smartphone!

However, one of the major drawbacks of being open source is that it is very susceptible to VIRUSES AND MALWARE.

So far, there are 70 different types of Malware identified, and the number is expected to grow very quickly.

Although there are various anti-virus softwares like AVG, LookOut and etc, these apps may do u more harm than good. These antivirus softwares may interfere with ur system apps and may cause numerous Force Closes every time u do something...

To reduce the risks of ur phone being infected with such viruses, I recommend u follow these safety precautions:

• Always download from Android Market ONLY
• Do not download .apk files and install them into ur phone
• Always check the rating and comments of an App before downloading and installing it
• Do not donwload "ehem-ehem" apps
• Do not visit "ehem-ehem" websites on ur phone. u never know~
